About Us

Our Mission

We advocate to assure each child's voice is heard in the courtroom.  We bring a positive dependable presence into the lives of those who desperately need it.

What Is CASA?

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of St. Croix County is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization that provides a voice for abused and neglected children under the court system's legal protection. We are caring adults, just like you, who know our community is stronger when we take care of our children. We envision a future where every child has a voice and a hopeful future. And with the support of the community, we make this future a reality by providing best-interest advocacy for abused and/or neglected children with the goal of a safe and permanent home.

CASA of St. Croix County, Inc. is A Member of the National CASA/GAL Association.

Our Team

Sean Kinsella
Executive Director

Mission-focused nonprofit work is Sean’s passion. At CASA of St Croix County, Sean works with great volunteers who support and advocate for the most vulnerable youth in our community between the ages of 8 months old to 18 years old who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect by court order. This is tough work but often yields high rewards.

Anna Bonkoski
Volunteer Coordinator

Anna Bonkoski grew up in Country living, in an itty bitty town in Northern MN, and planted her roots to raise her family in New Richmond, WI. She comes to CASA full of passion for Family and Law, with a strong drive and willingness to help others. She has education and experience in Child Development with a focus on Children and the Family, Mental Health and Childhood Trauma, Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and prior Management and Legal experience. She has 3 active children who are the center of her world. Between Competitive Dance and Traveling Hockey (goalie) Anna loves to read.

Jo Hocke
Volunteer Coordinator

Working with people helping other people has been Jo’s life-long history so she fits in perfectly with CASA’s motives and goals. Her role as Volunteer Coordinator is backed by years of exposure to other cultures, travels to other countries, and experiences working with various non-profits, especially in South Africa where she lived for 4 years.
