CASA welcomes Anna Bonkoski

We are so excited to welcome Anna Bonkoski to CASA.

Prior to Anna accepting the position of Volunteer Coordinator, she was a Special Advocate with CASA of St. Croix.

As an advocate, Anna worked with a young girl who was very shy and didn’t speak much at all.  She preferred to use hand gestures rather than words for communication.  Anna spent her initial time with the child, simply working on establishing trust.  This paid off in dividends and the family took notice of the attention Anna gave to the child.  By the time the next school year rolled around the child had moved past hand gestures and was coming out of her shell, she was verbal and confident.  The family was in a really good position, and is currently doing amazing.

Anna brings with her a deep understanding and background in child development, mental health/trauma, childcare/education and understanding of the legal system.  She is bringing an exuberant personality and killer sense of humor.  Anna will be working with our Special Advocates, helping to facilitate their advocacy for other children in need.

Please welcome Anna Bonkoski.
